Spring is here! Seriously, this weather we're having is typical Midwest early Spring. It doesn't get truly warm on a consistent basis until the second week of June around here, so some of us are still knitting items to keep warm with...
Cindy brought booties in two sizes:
Jackie finished the baby blanket she had been knitting:
And some hats she crocheted:
Jeanne had a lovely shawl in pinks and lace:
And she had some decorative knitting:
Karen wasn't able to join us this week, so I stole her photo of the coat she finished knitting and sewing the faux fur on the cuffs:
And if this all weren't enough? Claire brought in her finished socks that she also hand-embroidered:

Spring!
It's been a busy past few months - let's get to the projects, but first...
In January, a gentleman contacted our group about a donation from his mother's and grandmother's estates of yarn and items:
We sincerely thanked the gentleman as many of our knitters and crocheters knit for charitable organizations, and this yarn came in as a blessing for them! The rest of the yarn went to the Bettendorf Public Library for a youth knitting program coming up at the end of March. The rest of the items that were unclaimed went to Goodwill.
Now, I think that our Lynn was the person that knitted and crocheted these lovely items, but I've been wrong before!
Carol left us in the dust with her mad knitting and sewing skills for this baby sweater:
Janelle knit this cozy scarf:
Then Carol further showed us all up with the adorable baby dress and booties:
Ginny made it one of the gatherings and showed us her usual lovely, intricate knitting:
I believe either Claire or our second Lynn knit these wee baby socks:
Our Lynn crocheted this lovely blanket:
Amy of the amazing afghan knitting projects crocheted this pretty blanket:
And Christina was wearing her most recent crochet project, and I think it deserves the gold stars it has on it:
